Learn how you can affect the future direction of the DAO by voting on proposals

Whilst we work towards full decentralisation and tokenized voting of proposals, formal strategic governance is managed through written proposals, proposed in discord, and voted on by the active discord community using a “first-to-five” voting framework using discord reactions.

• All proposals are posted by the governance circle lead in the Governance > Proposals channel, noting the deadline for votes to be cast.
• The community will have 72 hours to vote on proposals using the ‘fist-to-five’ framework as discord reactions to the proposal post.
• Any discussion on the proposal should happen in the Governance > Discussion channel
• At the deadline, the Governance Lead should note the vote result and communicate that the the rest of the community.
• Proposals pass if all active voters during the voting period log a 3 or more on the following scale (discord emoji reactions):

✊ 'I completely object to this direction'

1️⃣ 'I strongly object to the proposal as written'

2️⃣ 'I have serious concerns that need to be heard'

3️⃣ 'I have concerns or improvements, but could probably live with it'

4️⃣ 'I support the proposal and think it can be approved'

5️⃣ 'I completely agree with the proposal as written'

The implication of this model is that proposals will only be voted on by those community members who are active in discord, and who respond within the designated time period. In future, once tokenised, we will move to more formal token-based voting.
